Two off-duty ICE agents left their dinner to give CPR to a 4-year-old from a hotel pool
Feb. 20, 2026 · Plymouth, Minnesota
On the evening of Feb. 20, 2026, two ICE agents were off duty, having dinner at a restaurant in Plymouth, Minnesota, when a panicked woman asked them for help. A 4-year-old boy had fallen into a hotel swimming pool and was unresponsive.
The agents responded right away and performed CPR for several minutes. Local police and paramedics arrived soon after and took the boy to a nearby medical center.
The child regained consciousness and was alert. The Plymouth Police Department later sent ICE a letter of recognition commending the agents for their heroic actions and professionalism.
The Department of Homeland Security shared the rescue in a February 2026 news release. The agents were not named, and no photo was released, so we share their story without one.
